Finance & Admin Assistant

FEVACA is recruiting for an Finance & Admin Assistant to join our well settled team at our Head office in Bury St Edmunds town centre.
The role will include answering the phone, word processing, managing post, filing, and organising training, as well as responding to day to day requirements of our satellite offices.
Approximately 60% of the role will be raising and processing invoices, managing the purchase ledger, and petty cash. You will contribute to Sage HR + Payroll data entry.
You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and have attention to detail; demonstrate good communication, customer service skills and be willing to work as part of the team.
**Key Requirements**:
FINANCIAL TASKS
- Knowledge in Sage bookkeeping software
- Raising and processing sales invoice
- Processing cash and bank payments
- Update Ledgers
- Process petty cash payments and arrange for finances to be sent/returned between Fevaca sites.
- Process Sage payroll
To be responsible for the day to day administrative and financial tasks of FEVACA, supporting the management of the office environment and report to the Office Manager.
- Manage and keep up to date spreadsheets, including gathering information from other staff: Reporting back to Directors with this information monthly.
- Complete orders and re direct stock to different FEVACA offices as required.
- Answer telephones, post + electronic communication
- Manage the company calendar, room mgt + diaries (outlook)
- Minute taking
