**PURPOSE OF ROLE**
- Reporting to the HRBP and working as part of a wider HR & Operations team, you will work towards ensuring the highest standards of training and development is delivered and reviewed ensuring key operational elements are embedded.
- To deliver exceptional levels of course writing, delivery coaching and operational support as well as maintaining strong brand standards at all times across the wider business.
- As the Retail Learning Partner, you will bring your professional experience and personality to the role and make positive impacts in stores whilst improving retail operations knowledge creating confident and knowledgeable colleagues and releasing their full potential. You will coach and support across multiple projects and business initiatives whilst demonstrating business policy, process and ‘what good looks like’ for standards, iAudit results, sales, and operational training.
- To improve personal capability whilst working with key stakeholders to develop culture, continuous learning, and operational improvement.
- To support in delivering business excellence in retail and supporting store manager and Supervisor growth and development.
- To coach operational errors created by poor decision making at store level and correct using effective ‘Just in Time’ training.
- To provide a training and coaching plan for the bottom twenty percent performing stores and deliver an effective training and coaching plan to improve store manager capability working to tight timelines.
- To adopt a one team working ethic and having the ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints simultaneously.
- To support operational issues and HR projects as required.
- To play a pivotal role in supporting HR competency and capability for all operational colleagues.
- To develop and manage an organised and professional training booking system for colleague training.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- To provide a periodical training and coaching plan to enable a transparent view of activity on estate.
- To deliver ‘Just In Time’ training and operational support on an ad-hoc basis.
- Support training and development of store managers and Supervisors for existing process including - New Payroll system, CBE, Right Check, When I work and new People products and online systems.
- Weekly Audit of training reports to evaluate completion and deliver feedback and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Group capability coaching including how to improve Customer service and Mystery Motorist results, Store Standards, warehouse, and site Health & Safety, IAudit and StoreiQ results drive off awareness and colleague engagement.
- Buddy and natural ‘go to’ person for new and developing store managers for additional coaching and systems knowledge.
- Support, coach and review the capability of new store managers by writing and supporting their training programme and complete the required remedial support as required up to and beyond their technical sign off.
- To support the HRBP for daily and project task completion as directed.
- Be jointly accountable for successful sign off of new store managers within agreed timescales.
- To provide weekly data-based feedback to wider business and HR team regarding New Store Managers progress and working with the appropriate HR Generalist to improve operational performance and capability.
- To actively support the Management Development Programme sponsored by the National Operations Manager.
- To design and introduce a balanced scorecard providing KPI reports for all training and coaching activity reporting to the wider business as required.
- To actively work in collaboration with HR Recruitment Generalist to enable an effective and timely training plan for all new Store Manager starters.
- Overseeing the probation completion for all new Store Managers whilst supporting the Area Business Managers within the process.
- To actively seek training opportunities for all Post Office colleagues and to be the central point of Post Office training opportunity with the Post Office Area Manager.
To assemble and oversee the Operational training business plan working in collaboration with the HRBP.
**KPI’s**
- Mystery Motorist results scores improvement by Quarter for sites below 93%
- Cash audit results average 90% period by period
- Morrisons Audits are achieving minimum pass of 75%
- All new store managers have had at least 3 coaching sessions within their first 8 weeks of start date and all probation reviews are completed on time every time.
