Communications and Engagement Officer

- Work with our Executive Officer and senior staff to develop and deliver our communications and engagement strategy
- Lead and develop our organisational profile, communication materials and approaches with a focus on digital online engagement
- Lead responsibility for managing our communications output including producing content, running our social media channels, and maintaining and developing our website including news bulletins
- Work with staff in developing communication material, media and awareness raising for our projects
- Create effective and engaging communication materials including digital and print
- Create and promote engaging surveys, campaign materials for both print and online platforms
- Develop online discussion forums and face to face focus groups
- Monitor and produce digital evidence and analytics for website blogs, social media traffic and campaigns to achieve project outcomes.
- Develop and deliver staff training in the use of digital software and communication tools
- Keep abreast of current practices and development opportunities
- Carry out any other duties that may be required to achieve our organisational objectives
**Person Specification**
**ESSENTIAL**
- Proficient in the use of social media platforms and producing effective media materials
- Knowledge and/or experience in the use of Content Management Systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- Experience of developing and delivering social media communications and online engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent person-centred qualities and the ability to forge effective relationships
- An understanding of the culture and needs of the people within Inverclyde
**DESIRABLE**
Relevant qualification
- Experience/Knowledge of digital hardware set up and Windows installation and maintenance
- Experience/Knowledge of network and internet maintenance
- Experience of video creation
