**The Role** 2 x Customer Service and Sales Advisor - Jewson Builders Merchant - Darlington

This role is working with Jewson part of the STARK Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.

Following the recent retirement of two members of the team with 30- 40 year's service. Our ambitious Jewson team in Darlington are looking for 2 enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Service Sales Advisors who pride themselves on delivering first class service and who aspires to really make a difference.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for contributing and exceeding customer expectations whilst supporting achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling products. A Customer Service Sales Advisor is an essential role within the branch network, you will have the opportunity to experience a bit of everything from working in the branch.

This role has a strong focus on customer service, so it is great for someone who loves to build relationships with customers both face to face and over the phone.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30am-5.00pm | Alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm

What will I be doing?
- Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson values
- Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
- Dealing with lapsed accounts
- Generating sales with new and existing customers
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
- Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement First and foremost, we always want to recruit great people that really understand our values and ways of working.
