**Role**:Recycling Operative / Banksman

**Hours**: 42.75 per week between 7am-7pm Monday to Friday

**Location**: Longridge Road, Preston

**Salary**: Competitive - dependent on experience

**The role**:We are looking for a skilled banksman with metal grading experience to join our recycling team in Preston.

**The key responsibilities**:

- Outdoor banksman duties for the Preston site.
- Safely direct customers to the designated areas
- To ensure safe traffic movement at all times
- To follow all safe working procedures and policies
- To be an effective face to face and radio communicator
- To be able to think on your feet and self-risk assess
- To manage traffic around a business yard whilst enforcing the traffic management plan
- To report and inspect loads tipped
- Liaise with HGV drivers and direct them
- This is an active role which requires you to be mobile throughout the shift.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.
- Grading metals as required.
- Previous banksman experience
- Metal grading experience
- To be proactive and to be able to work under pressure
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- A friendly and polite approach.
- A can-do, positive attitude to work.
- Flexibility approach to work
