**The Role**:
We’re looking for a Banksman to be based at our Recycling Park facility in Longridge, Preston. The Banksman will have the responsibility of maintaining constant traffic flow around the yard. Safety must always be paramount, whilst focusing on the yard operation requirements. You will also need to display great teamwork to work with fellow employees.

**Key Accountabilities Include**:

- Safely direct customers to the designated areas
- To ensure safe traffic movement at all times
- To follow all safe working procedures and policies
- To be an effective face to face and radio communicator
- To be proactive and to be able to work under pressure
- To be able to think on your feet and self-risk assess
- To manage traffic around a business yard whilst enforcing the traffic management plan
- To report and inspect loads tipped
- Experience in a scrap metal yard and the role of a Banksman
- Great face to face communicator
- Enjoy working outdoors
- Commitment to health & safety
- Previous experience or knowledge of safe working procedure
- Previous health and safety training
