**Location**: Longridge Road, Preston

**Hours**: 42.75 hours per week M-F

**Salary**: Above minimum wage

Global Ardour Recycling Limited are a national recycling and waste management business, operating sites nationwide to offer services to recycle scrap metal, scrap cars and much more. **What you’ll be doing**:

- Undertaking the depollution of End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) - removing and storing parts safely (full training provided)
- Removing of catalytic convertors from vehicles
- Removing tyres
- Removal of batteries
- Hitting targets to achieve weekly bonuses
- Working closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
- Liaising with other teams efficiently
- Operating plant and equipment
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed
- Maintaining all plant and equipment as well as reporting any faults or defects immediately
- FLT Driving - training can be provided
- Banksman duties
- Working outdoors
- Manual work with heavy lifting involved
- Ensuring compliance with environmental and health and safety policy and rules
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices ensuring area is always clean and tidy

**Who you are**:

- Previous experience in vehicle mechanics - nice to have
- Confident in dealing with a wide variety of car makes and models
- Enjoys working outdoors in a busy environment
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Health and Safety conscious
- Previous experience forklift driving is considered an advantage
