My client, a market leading manufacturer based in Yardley, is currently looking for a QA Manager to join their organisation.
As the QA Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring full compliance with customers' requirements, compliance with the BRC standard and the company's legal obligations. You would also assist in ensuring consistent quality of production, incoming goods,ensuring procedures and specifications are followed. Encouraging and developing GMP across all areas.

- Hours of work: 9am-5:30pm (30 min break each day)
- Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

- Management of the QA team and deputise when necessary
- Deputising for QA & Compliance Manager
- Assisting in internal audits
- Active member of HACCP team
- Responding to customer requests
- Handling customer complaints and root cause investigations
- Investigating and reporting on product returns
- Technical testing as required in both the QA laboratory and warehouse
- Liaising with suppliers, customers and colleagues at all levels
- Use of Quick Base and standard computer packages
- Assisting in improvements to the QMS
- Recording of results and report writing

Skills/Experience Required:

- The ability to communicate effectively
- To be accurate and detailed
- Proven track record of team management
- Experience of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in SAP would be an advantage
- The ability to plan and prioritise workload
- The ability to work alone but also to be a team player
- At least level 2 HACCP
- Experience of managing / supervising staff
- Understanding of BRC Food Packaging Standard
- Internal systems auditing experience (trained auditor preferable)
- Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
- Working against procedures and specifications
- Experience of customer and BRC and customer Technical audits
