The post holder will develop, co-ordinate and support the transformation of clinical education and will lead their direct reports to do the same. The focus of the role is upon the development and delivery of the work streams below ensuring quality of delivery for:

- Careers Pathway

1. Clinical and Professional - Bands 5-9
2. School engagement
- young learners
- Continuing Professional Development

1. Learning Beyond Registration
2. Clinical Supervision
3. Mandatory and Statutory trainings (MaST) update programme

The post holder will have responsibility for the delivery of above portfolios that span across all of the work streams within the ELD team, ensuring that key milestones are achieved, risks/ issues are flagged and that the required outcomes are met within the deadlines set.
- Be the link person and develop strong collaborative partnerships with secondary school and further education/higher education institutions and be proactive in identifying opportunities for joint learning.
- Lead in mapping out careers (clinical and professional) pathways and development of educational solutions to deliver the workforce of the future including Advanced Clinical Practice programme.
- Embed new roles within the workforce which challenge traditional boundaries and meet the needs of BHT both now and into the future.
- Create and lead identified programmes on careers pathways for Bands 5 and above, including but not limited to nursing, midwifery and AHP, tapping on apprenticeship and workforce development frameworks and funding streams
- Work collaboratively with other senior education team leads where appropriate, in drawing together work from Leadership & Management, Practice Development, Medical Education and MaST team.
- Lead the annual analysis of the Training Learning needs of the Nursing, Midwifery and AHP workforce in line with trusts priorities and available resources, working collaboratively with other senior education team leads.
- Lead the development and delivery of programmes for the clinical workforce that are fit for purpose, cost effective and support the pathway of development of Nursing, Midwifery and AHP workforce in line with the four pillars of practice
