**Job Summary**

The role involves the operation of the Trebal FiberLean facility including the Process Plant, Pilot Plant, MDU & Laboratory. Carry out a broad variety of tasks, listed below. This includes Trebal & other FiberLean related sites. A high degree of flexibility & the willingness to work shifts at possibly short notice is essential.

**Job Scope**
- The efficient production of industrial customer samples globally, in spec & on time.
- The development of new products and processes to maximise our impact in global markets.
- The position also offers some scope to partake in overseas travel to assist with trial activities.
- Provide laboratory technical support within a framework agreed by the Lab Manager/Senior Lab technician.
- The timely preparation, testing and reporting of all samples entering the laboratories within a framework agreed by the Lab Manager/Senior Lab technician.
- The timely production of small-scale lab grinder and super mill customer samples within a framework agreed by the manager.
- Follow approved test methods and SOPs when preparing materials and subsequent testing.

**Key Tasks**
- Set-up, changeover and operate plant and equipment in the area within standard operating procedures to achieve required outputs and quality.
- Diagnose and prioritise engineering problems which require the intervention of engineers and call on the appropriate back-up service.
- Take samples and carry out routine testing where deemed necessary. Act on results of quality control tests to ensure corrective action is taken and production output meets specification.
- Handle non-routine activities and help to implement continuous improvement solutions to increase efficiency of the production line.
- Assist in devising and assembling equipment needed to carry out Process Development trials / experiments.
- Carry out experiments at production plant scale, within an overall programme set by Projects & Logistics Manager.
- Ensure that data / results are compiled in a precise manner and that any experiments are carried with due care to ensure all foreseeable errors are minimised.
- Provide laboratory technical support within a framework agreed by the Lab Manager/Senior Lab technician

- Sort, log in, prepare samples and carry out analytical testing. Act on analytical results to ensure corrective action is taken and sample output meets specification.
- On occasion required to work at customer sites, globally.

- Assist in devising and assembling equipment needed to carry out experiments, as and when required.
- Other duties may reasonably be required, in line with your main duties.
