Head of Reinsurance Operations
- Salary between National £75,000 and £110,000 and London £90,000 and £130,000

This role is an excellent opportunity for somebody who wants to make a lasting difference to Aviva UKGI’s ability to efficiently manage and secure maximum value from the £500m+ spent on external reinsurance each and every year. They will bring their understanding of reinsurance and their experience in running operational or financial reporting processes to bear in crafting and implementing excellent end-to-end processes that support our growth ambitions, strengthen the control environment and improve the efficiency of the organisation.

A bit about the job:
The Head of Reinsurance Operations will be accountable for ensuring the effective management and administration of all reinsurance transactions for Aviva’s UKGI business ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of the reinsurance agreements, Aviva’s accounting policies and risk management framework.

In addition, over the next 2-3 years the role holder will lead a Reinsurance Transformation project, being the day to day Aviva contact for the project team on behalf of the project sponsor and being responsible for the design and implementation of all requirements.

As well as leading their own team within Finance, they will need to work collaboratively with the Claims, Underwriting and Reinsurance placement teams to ensure all aspects of reinsurance administration work efficiently.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Good understanding of reinsurance including underwriting, claims, accounting and payment processes.- Experience in co-ordinating operational and / or financial reporting processes to ensure they operate to agreed time and quality metrics.- Can confidently build and maintain effective business relationships with senior leaders- Experience in the analysis and reporting of financial data- Strong leadership capabilities and personal credibility and experience of leading employees, including outsourced service providers.

What you’ll get for this role:
