**Role Overview**
In this role, you will support and assist the Designated Safeguarding Officer Lead (DSOL) for Eden Training Solutions, ensuring that the orgaisation meets all statutory requirements for safeguarding and welfare. You will support learners with safeguarding and/or welfare issues, to ensure that they are successful on their programmes. Using your communication skills, you will connect and build a rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and respond appropriately to their needs.
**Responsibilities**
- Key responsibilities include supporting learners, employers and employees enjoy a positive and safe learner experience
- Work across all programmes to maintain safeguarding and welfare support for all internal and external stakeholders
- Be a point of contact within the organisation for all Safeguarding and learner welfare related concerns
- Act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer Lead in the absence of the DSOL
- Make decisions in safeguarding cases and follow cases through to conclusion
- Monitor learner concerns and queries and responding within a timely manner
- Support all stakeholders on issues relating to Safeguarding, Prevent and Welfare
- Promote wellbeing, inclusion, British Values and prevent to all stakeholders
- Develop and deliver resources (including training) to all stakeholders in relation to Safeguarding, Prevent and Welfare, and monitor their use/completion
- Coordinating and keeping records of who has completed training in liaison with other teams across Eden Training Solutions as necessary
- Develop and form relationships with external support agencies which may benefit Eden Training Solutions learners
- Report on team progress in relation to Safeguarding and Prevent to the DSOL as required
- Monitor and maintain data to identify and action any trends in safeguarding issues at Eden Training Solutions
- Ensure that records are kept and maintained in accordance with auditing requirements
- Support the continued implementation and development of Eden Training Solutions Safeguarding and Prevent action plans
- Support the development and implementation of clear processes for the referral of learners from the Safeguarding team to appropriate external agencies, including ensuring that cases are followed up appropriately
- Keep up to date sector knowledge regarding how Safeguarding, Prevent and Welfare is implemented across other FE/HE/apprenticeships providers
- Support the promotion of pastoral care and motivation of learners to support them in their learning
- Ensure all case management is confidential and is managed in accordance with Eden Training Solutions policies and procedures
- Liaising with parents and employers (of apprentices) as required, whilst maintaining require levels of confidentiality
- Fully engage with all required training for the role and embed this training within your daily practice as applicable
- Undertake additional training where necessary to deliver teaching, learning and assessment resources, along with materials for Eden Training Solutions programmes
- Promote Eden Training Solutions at every opportunity with learners, as well as all other internal and external parties
- Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management
**Qualifications**
Mandatory level qualifications:
- A*- C GCSE English (or Equivalent)
- Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Level 3
- Level 3 - Designated Safeguarding Lead qualification
Desirable level qualifications:
- Teacher, training qualifications (eg: PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert-Ed)
**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**
- A working knowledge of the sector would be desirable, with full training available where necessary
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training within the last 2 years
- Relevant demonstrable experience of working with learners to support them to be successful
