This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing team. The team is expanding to provide a wider offer as part of additional national 'Best Start for Life' funding. You will work closely with partner agencies across Bolton as part of the development of the Bolton family hubs.
The post is based in Bolton Parent and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) which is a Parent Infant Mental Health (PIMH) service located in Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust, Bolton CAMHS Service. PAIRS has been commissioned to provide a clinical service and also provide strategic leadership, training and workforce development in the perinatal period up until the child’s 2nd birthday across the borough.
The service has good working relationships with the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Teams, Maternity Services, Children’s Centres, Adult Mental Health, Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Services, Voluntary sector and Children’s Social Care, etc. Bolton PAIRS provides a clinical service, training, consultation, and supervision across the large multi-agency network of mixed professionals.
Main duties are detailed within the Job Description. Experience in working with specific client group is not essential.
The post holder will work as a specialist practitioner contributing to the development and delivery of the pathway. They will liaise closely with the Local Authority in order to implement a community based therapeutic service to parents to be, infants, young children and their families with a particular focus on early intervention. They will provide assessment and treatment for parents/carers and infants, young children and their families. The training and development aspect of the role involves acting as a specialist resource and contributing to multi-agency training of relevant professionals across Bolton. The post holder will also be expected to offer consultation and clinical supervision to professional colleagues and the wider network.
