Bolton Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) Service has a vacancy for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to work alongside our established Multi disciplinary team. The ASC team provides post-diagnostic support to autistic people (without Learning Disabilities).
The ASC service is part of the Bolton Directorate which provides integrated mental health and social care services, both in the community and in inpatient settings.
You will provide post-diagnostic support to Autistic adults through structured sessions.
As the job involves working with service users in a specialist context, essential requirements for the post include: experience of working with autistic adults, a relevant professional qualification e.g. Nursing, Social Work, O.T or Speech and Language therapy; a high level of communication skills; capacity to work productively in a demanding environment and a willingness to undergo further appropriate training.
Desirable qualities include, experience of working with complex clients, experience of planning and delivering therapeutic group work and a high standard of report writing.

The successful person will be required to undertake a range of activities to deliver the care pathways for the client group. This will include direct clinical work (including 1:1 work and group work), report writing, and for clients with more complex needs, short-term case management. There are opportunities to gain a broad range of experience and to develop clinical and teaching skills.
