Location: Northallerton, Headquarters
**Salary**: SCALE 6 - £27,432 - £29,331 pro rata
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part Time - 18.5 hrs per week
Applications are welcomed for Deputy Data Protection Officer. This is both a challenging and rewarding role, working within the Information Management Team within the Business Design and Assurance Department of North Yorkshire Police Fire & Rescue Services, also the Crime and Fire Commissioners Office. This is under the EnableNY collaboration, designed to drive efficiencies and offer shared professional services, to support all three organisations.
This role will be based in the Compliance Team working within North Yorkshire Police’s Information Management, reporting directly to the Data Protection Officer. Working with key colleagues internally, regionally and nationally, the role will be involved in developing and providing data protection guidance and training as well as conducting research into compliance and data protection practices. The role will undertake risk-based assurance activities to help implement the organisation’s data protection strategy, contributing to maintaining the force’s compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
