An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Business Support Officer providing administrative support. For the first 6 months this support will be provided to the Integrated Passenger Transport service, at which point the business needs will be re-assessed, this role may either remain in the service or be moved elsewhere. This is a full-time (37 hours), established position.
The role of the team is to provide a high standard of administrative support to a range of related functions. We require a motivated administrator with good communication and customer care skills suitable for dealing with a full range of service users and professionals, both from North Yorkshire County Council and other organisations.
You will undertake a range of duties including, but not limited to, data inputting using Excel and bespoke systems, processing and inputting invoices for payment, word processing, issuing bus passes, scanning important documents and administration relating to fleet vehicles. You will also process Transport Returns, ensuring client's journeys are accurately recorded. You will benefit from a supportive management structure, on-going personal development and performance management. Training will be given to the appointed person.
You must be able to prioritise demanding workloads, take ownership of tasks, work accurately with large volumes of data and be able to work effectively as part of a team to ensure deadlines are achieved. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial, as is experience of updating databases and bespoke systems
You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection (GDPR), Equalities and Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment.
