EnableNY provides support across Business Design and Assurance Services for North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.
As Compliance and Data Protection Support Officer you will be a member of a team responsible for the delivery of high quality, credible and timely advice and assurance activities, in line with legislative requirements, national and local procedures and guidance.
Working with the Data Protection Officer, Information Security and Records Compliance Managers and in collaboration with key colleagues you will ensure that relevant elements of the service catalogue are successfully delivered in accordance with the ongoing key performance indicators and contribute to the improvement of service delivery.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Responsible for providing high quality, credible and timely assurance and advisory support services, delivering excellent customer service.
- You will deliver service in accordance with agreed standards and SLAs as well as identifying and developing ongoing process and service improvements.
- You will assist in the production of communication materials, raising awareness about Data Protection, records management and information security matters and provide advice to colleagues of their legislative responsibilities and how to fulfil them.
- You undertake information assurance activities, preparing supporting reports and documentation with key recommendations for remedial action required to maintain the forces compliance in line with statutory and legal requirements.
- Responsible for developing and implementing key tools and learning, such as e-learning or quick reference guides, to improve processes and the service user experience.
- Support the completion of customised reports or briefings that enable the production of accurate, relevant and timely management information in partnership with colleagues as appropriate.
- You will have effective report writing skills and the ability to act with discretion when dealing with sensitive cases or situations.
- A strong background in administration.
- Desirable to have experience in undertaking compliance-based audits or reviews and have a sound understanding of the Data Protection Act (2018).
