**This is the job**:
As we continue to expand, diversify, and modernise, we are looking for someone to join the AA as our Head of Digital Architecture & Design to play a fundamental part with our evolution within Digital. You will play an integral role within our Engineering Leadership Team where you will be responsible for the Digital Architecture Strategy.

As the Head of Digital Architecture & Design, you’ll ensure all Digital Solutions are designed, documented, and governed in accordance with the Strategic Enterprise Roadmap by working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, on and offshore teams as well as line managing your own skilled team understanding business requirements and driving high-quality designs through to technical solutions.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Ensure the technology roadmap influences and reflects the Digital Product roadmap primarily, but also other portfolios impacted and/or reliant on digital to achieve their outcomes
- Owning, championing, and demonstrating cost transparency, value delivery, service sustainability from the architecture strategy and system solutions of the business
- Drive the business towards cutting edge technology and solutions, whilst balancing existing legacy systems and processes
- Define and implement the architectural governance whilst ensuring key architectural principles and guard rails are defined, understood, and followed
- Act as a Guardian of the digital technology vision and strategy by championing visibility business wide as well as with the Digital Architecture Review board
- Lead by example as a manager by coaching and mentoring the team; including identifying development opportunities as well as recruiting new key Architecture and Solution Design roles alongside our Talent Acquisition team

**What do I need?**:
You’ll bring vision, creativity, leadership, and a wealth of expertise within Architecture and Solution Design bringing together a strong development strategy. With hands-on experience creating high quality designs and roadmaps, you’ll utilise your up-to-date awareness of IT trends/technologies to present and influence key stakeholders. Being commercially astute with business, budgets, and development strategies, you’ll lead us on the road to becoming a fierce Digital market player.
