Shepherd Distribution has a 75-year heritage of providing specialist distribution services to Sheffield’s prestigious metals industry, and is one of the founder members of the Palletline network.

Due to continued success, we are now recruiting for a **Transport Administrator** to join our friendly administration team.

**About the Transport Administrator Role**:
We are looking for someone with experience as an Administrator or Office Assistant within a busy environment.

Experience within a transport office would be beneficial, but is not essential.

As there can be a requirement to work flexibly, to suit the needs of the business, it would also be advantageous if applicants lived within a 20-minute commute of Sheffield, S12.

You will be required to work with and co-ordinate with other departments to provide an effective admin service across the business.

**Duties Include**:

- Dealing effectively with customer queries; driver queries and de-briefs; sub-contract and driver agency bookings. Ensuring excellent service provision.
- Preparing documents for the warehouse and distribution office.

**Key Requirements - Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience of working in a busy transport office (preferred).
- Use of a transport management system (we operate Manpack3) to prepare consignment information.
- An understanding of transport administration.
- Excellent Data Entry skills and dealing with any queries; non-conformances or discrepancies.
- A willingness to be adaptable with a flexible approach is essential.

**Working Hours**:
10am to 8pm Monday to Friday plus 1 Saturday morning in 4

Starter role to move onto shift patterns with more pay after that.

Starting Salary £24,000.
