**Key Responsibilities**:
- Setting up and processing new and existing payrolls for a portfolio of clients
- Processing all payroll and submitting RTI reports to HMRC
- Processing starters and leavers
- Calculating holiday pay, SMP, SSP, SPP
- Running the payroll reports & electronic payslips
- Ensuring the weekly and monthly submissions of auto-enrolment pensions
- Dealing with enquires from both clients and their employees
**Key Skills**:
- Experience working within a practice or bureau managing your own portfolio of clients is essential
- Able to work well as part of a team as well as independently
- Experience of running your own payroll from start to finish on a sole basis
- CIPP qualified would be advantageous, however not essential
- Computer literate and able to demonstrate strong organisational skills, along with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
- Must be experienced in all aspects of Sage payroll and the HMRC legislation. Also use of NEST, NOW, TPP or other similar pension schemes
