An exciting part time (15 hour/ week) opportunity has arisen for a dynamic team player to join the Dermatology Team at Broomfield Hospital.

You will need to be flexible and adaptable, a good team player with the ability to work well on their own initiative and willing to take on a variety of duties, whilst having the ability to maintain attention to detail.

Your role will be to facilitate the smooth running of the skin cancer patient journey by ensuring that co-ordinated administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs. The success of the cancer pathway relies on close team working and input into and tracking of the patient pathway.

You will supporting the Management Team, the Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) and team, working under the direct or indirect supervision of the Assistant Service Manager and liaise with the clinical and booking teams to manage the planned checkpoints throughout a patient’s clinical journey and support the clinical team in ensuring the specialty is able to deliver safe and effective services.

You will facilitate streamlined administrative processes to ensure patients referred into the Trust on a cancer pathway are tracked, escalated and monitored in line with cancer wait time guidance, be adaptable and willing to work flexibly as the service progresses, contributing to service development and improvement and use a caring and empathetic approach and also have the ability to support the Service across various sites.
