**Summary**:

- The Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) is a specialised, independent judicial body whose principal statutory functions are to hear appeals in respect of decisions made by competition and regulatory authorities and claims for damages (to recover losses caused by infringements of competition law) brought by individual / groups of claimants. Its jurisdiction in competition and economic regulatory cases extends to the whole of the UK and is central to the UK’s competition system. It is a court of equivalent status to the High Court and its counterparts in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It is headed by the President and the membership comprises of a panel of Chairmen and a number of Ordinary Members with expertise in economics, law, business, accountancy and other related areas.
- This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in an organisation that handles cases relating to Competition law which are often of significant importance to businesses, the UK economy, the regulatory system and the wider public interest.**Job description**:

- You will be supporting the Operations Team and general office with a variety of administrative and facilities based tasks such as:
- Assisting in organising all Tribunal events, such as Members training seminars, small in-house seminars, meetings and conferences.
- Providing administrative support to the Operations function;
- Booking and organising internal lunches and refreshments for meetings.
- Managing stationary requirements
- Facilities Management; Liaising and deal with building management and facilities contractors and escalating building issues where appropriate
- Booking travel and accommodation for Tribunal staff, Chairman and Members as required.
- Helping with the management of office machinery (i.e. photocopiers, franking machine and coffee machines) and arrange maintenance as necessary.
- Dealing with the day to day running of the mailroom involving distributing post and franking mail.
- Providing support to other teams. This includes: purchasing stationery; co-ordinating equipment and general office supplies; transporting case bundles; diary management.
- General filing and administrative duties.
