DS Smith are a global leader in sustainable packaging and are building a revolutionary CX team for which they are looking for a Data Manager to completely redefine how they manage they interact and engage with customers throughout their end-to-end journey.Your role would be to work with customer data to map the data quality and devise a strategy to improve the quality and availability across the organisation. You will create organisational access to reliable customer operational, interaction, perception andbehavioural/sales data. The data will be used for identifying opportunities and deliver superior customer experiences. This role would be perfect for someone with experience of managing data strategy within a CX environment.

You will be joining the team tasked with designing, developing and delivering customer experiences that will redefine packaging for a changing world. You would be joining a FTSE 100 leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions worldwide, operatingin more than 30 different countries and employing over 30,000 people. DS Smith has several programmes that will be delivered over the next 3+ years to support an ambitious agenda and CX global strategy will be at the centre of delivering regional benefitsfor the business. You will be a part of defining the global CX strategy for the business and be hands-on in implementing this in overseas customer markets.

**What will you be doing?**
- Be the CX customer data steward and be comfortable in assembling large, complex data sets in tactical tools or in more strategic enterprise tool (may need to rely on other teams, function, or IT to get data).
- Manage data quality topics and identify and gaps. Utilise data skills to improve quality and understanding in order to support the CX team objectives e.g., outputs could be specific plans of actions to be taken to improve quality or explain gaps in datafor the purposes data is to be used for.
- Build a customer data framework to provide guidance and guard rails on how we can govern data to drive consistency, quality and support decision making. Framework could include distinct data use cases from a CX perspective to illustrate the business purposethat can influence the CX customer data approach.
- Identify, design /or influence change to internal process for improvements: automating manual processes where possible, optimizing data delivery, influencing or supporting any re-designing of existing data infrastructure (may be led by others or be partof a project team).

**What are we looking for?**
- BSc/MSc or relevant work experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or Analytics related field.
- Experience with business reporting tools like Cognos / PowerBI / Tableau
- Process mapping (Signavio tool or similar BPMN tool a plus)
