We are currently looking for a **HR Assistant** to join us at our B&Q site in Worksop, to support and assist the contract HR Manager & contract HR team with the successful delivery of the HR people plan and strategy for the B&Q network.

This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Support the HR function, working with the counterpart HR Assistant and HR Advisors, in ensuring the correct administration for all contract colleagues, at all points of the employee lifecycle journey
- Maintain the network HR system and records, including sickness and holiday entitlement, sickness and absence data, transfers, attendance, performance and training documentation
- Support the HR advisory service across the network in relation to absence, conduct and capability, grievance matters, recruitment, employee engagement, organisational change and a range of employment and employee relations matters
- Manage the quarterly newsletter and be an active part of employee engagement and the engagement forum across the network

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- Experience of working in an HR environment undertaking a range of tasks including supporting and advising on disciplinaries, investigations, absence management and general HR administration
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, whilst maintaining accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- CIPD Level 3 Qualified, studying towards or an interest to do so
