We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Grounds Person to join our dedicated Estates Team at our thriving independent boarding school. This is an entry level role as full training will be provided.

**About the Role**

As Assistant Grounds Person, you will help ensure our extensive grounds - including sports pitches, gardens, and green spaces - are maintained to a high standard throughout the year. Your work will play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-presented environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, has a good eye for detail, and is committed to health and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain lawns, sports pitches, and landscaped areas across the school grounds.
- Carry out routine gardening tasks - mowing, hedge cutting, strimming, weeding, pruning, and planting.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining sports facilities and outdoor event areas.
- Operate grounds equipment and tools safely and responsibly, using PPE as required.

- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Some experience of grounds or garden maintenance is desirable.
- A basic understanding of grounds machinery and health and safety practices.
- Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
