Personal Care Assistant

Location: Burgess Hill

Hours/shifts: Variable hours per week (day & night shifts incl some weekends)

We are looking for a friendly and trustworthy PA to support my 31 year old son who, whilst cognitively able, has complex physical disabilities and health needs and requires 2 to 1 support 24 hours per day. Some of his keen interests include Cars, bikes, social media, events, films and Xbox games. You will be joining a supportive care team and will always be working with another member of staff to ensure safety for all.

Other Requirements - preferred to have a UK driving licence

Support is about Him - he needs your help to ensure:

- He is as healthy as he can be
- He is happy, and leads a meaningful life
- He has a choice and control over what’s important to him

You will need to follow his care plan in EVERY particular to ensure his safety at all times. We believe in delivering commitments, and using sound judgement and common sense.

**Typical duties**

Personal Care:
All aspects of personal care to include;
Feeding

Medication administration

Showering with use of a hoist (we have both and electric and manual hoist)

Dressing

Hair washing/ drying as well as any required hair and skin care.

Domestic
- Food shopping and preparation and delivery of all food -in strict adherence to restricted diet

Strict adherence to expenditure guidelines

To ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the accommodation.

Social

Innovative entertainment whether at home or out & about.

Going out shopping, Site seeing (Brighton is a big favourite) Motor racing, Bowling, concerts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.25-£13.50 per hour
