An opportunity to join a global software and technology investment manager, who have a strong 20 year track record in the industry, as a finance assistant.
**No prior financial services experience needed **Perfect opportunity for someone looking to break into this market.
Responsibilities of finance assistant:
- Management of the purchase ledger within SAP Concur and Netsuite accounting system, including checking coding and ensuring invoices are appropriately authorised;
- Preparation and processing bi-weekly payment runs ensuring there is enough time for the payment run to be reviewed before being authorised on the banking systems (eQ, Wells Fargo, Commerzbank, Palatine).
- Management of operational cash balances to ensure adequate funding of payment runs, monthly direct debits and ad-hoc payments; and
- Building relationships with RBS, Wells Fargo and Commerzbank banking teams to assist in the resolution of payment queries.
- Preparation of bank account reconciliations (including foreign currency bank accounts); and
- Preparation of various expense reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis.
- Monthly uploads to reallocate travel, courier, taxi and professional calls costs to the correspondent project/cost centre;
- Assisting other members of Finance Team with ad-hoc project work and analysis, with particular focus on improving existing processes.
- Hybrid role 2-3 days in the office per week._
**Requirements**:
- Must have a university degree
- Have 6-12 months experience in a finance position
- Desire to work within a private equity business
- Good communication skills as you will be the point of contact for finance, and must be someone looking to take ownership of their work
