Contract Furniture Group Ltd is a fast growing and developing business that provides contract furniture to bars, restaurants and hotels across the UK.

**Purpose of the Role**

To manage a small team in our production warehouse to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of goods in. To manage and control the flow of raw materials throughout the production process ensuring each department have the correct materials JIT for their production process. To ensure all completed products are checked wrapped and stored safely within the warehouse ready to be despatched to the customer. To ensure goods out are processed efficiently and accurately to ensure the stock integrity of the warehouse is upheld based on KPI's.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage a small team on a daily basis and report into the warehouse manager
- Feed production with raw materials based on works orders on a JIT (just in time) basis
- Manage resource for loading and unloading of goods
- Ensure stock integrity is maintained throughout the production warehouse and full traceability on movement of goods is monitored.
- Take delivery of goods and check all is in order. Sign and date the delivery notes or receipts. Update the WMS system and allocate stock, raise any issues at point of receipt.
- Working alongside the warehouse manager ensure all paperwork is in order and passed to the office in a timely manner
- Checking goods for missing or damaged items
- Unloading goods by hand using the correct manual handling techniques, with trolleys or forklift trucks
- Stacking and storing safely and in an organised manner - “everything in its’ correct place”
- Assist in the investigation of Goods receiving discrepancies
- Assist in the assembly of production goods prior to despatch when required
- Picking and packing goods for despatch in accordance with the sales order
- Carrying out stock takes on a regular basis
- Keep up to date with manual handling training and observe all guidelines in this respect
- Ensure the upkeep of house keeping across the sites warehouse and external areas.
- Maintain a safe working environment, paying particular attention to keeping walkways clear and access to fire escape routes free
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Ensure that your forklift licence is valid and renewed within time limits, if applicable
- Ensure all vehicles on site are locked safely whilst not in use.
- Report any vehicle faults identified when loading / unloading vehicles
- Ensure all warehouse areas are closed and locked up each evening once the working day has finished to ensure safety of the building overnight using the company end of day process.
- Demonstrate a customer focused approach and an awareness of how the goods will be received at the end of their journey
