With over 170 years of education experience our core purpose remains at the heart of the organisation - to promote and advance learning to create a fairer, more inclusive society. We have built a high-performance workplace culture, backed by a strong set of values and behaviours, to ensure we’re working together as one organisation to make sure no learner is left behind.
**About the role**
We’re seeking a
**Procurement Officer** to join our Commercial Services team.
We’re looking for a talented individual who can work collaboratively as part of a small, but busy Commercial Services Team to deliver high quality, professional procurement practices which maximise value from externally sourced products and services whilst ensuring compliance with all policy and regulations.
**In this role you'll**:
- Develop and deliver end-to-end procurement activities from sourcing suitable suppliers, drafting tender documents, managing submissions, tender presentations and evaluation meetings through to preparing structured feedback to bidders.
- Proactively work with departmental budget holders and owners to define and develop their procurement requirements and agree viable routes to market.
- Ensure that procurement policies and processes are aligned with best practice, public procurement legislation (as required) and NCFE’s own policies and regulations.
- Support the whole team to deliver a compliant and efficient function which always looks for opportunities to reduce costs and/or improve services.
**We’d love to hear from you if you hold the following key skills and experience**:
- CIPS qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- Must have experience leading key internal and external stakeholders through the full procurement process.
- Experience procuring a range of direct and indirect categories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel.
- A high level of organisational skills, effective time-management and a proactive approach.
- Change and project management.
This is a new role for NCFE and one that offers a great opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects across the organisation with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
New projects are always emerging and range from audit services to utilities (and everything in between) so there is plenty of opportunity to gain experience and add value to the business.
