Sellick Partnership are delighted to be assisting a well-known and respected Public Sector organisation to recruit to a permanent Procurement Officer position.

The Procurement Officer will be joining a newly restructured team and will be an integral part of their exciting new direction and ways of working.

The Procurement Officer will be given lots of development opportunity and training as part of their structured progression plan.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with demonstrable procurement officer level experience or someone who is looking at stepping up into an officer level role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing business cases, risk assessments, project plans, specifications and evaluation criteria; preparing tender and contract documents in consultation with stakeholders to ensure compliance with current regulations, legislation and procurement bestpractice
- Research markets and available suppliers in order to identify best value opportunities for the force and ensure adequate competition
- Provide professional procurement advice and guidance to the organisation, suppliers and other stakeholders in accordance with organisation procurement policies.
- Manage a portfolio of contracts ensuring that contracts are let in accordance with agreed timescales and reviewed to monitor quality and performance, delivery of KPI's, DE&I legislation is being met and social value is promoted.
- Analyse spend and make recommendations to consolidate and/or complete procurements of non-compliant spend/contracts. Liaise with Finance and Budget holders in relation to spend and budget comparisons.

**Person Specification**:

- Demonstrable experience of working in a procurement environment
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of skills in procurement and contract management
- CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS qualification
- Effective at building relationships with stakeholders
