A world-renowned brand, my client is a trend setter at the forefront of innovation for their sector. Recognised as World class manufacturing, my client is looking to appoint a Quality Project Lead for their centre of excellence based in Preston.

You will act as stage gate keeper, influencer, championing the companies Quality ethos and ensuring the highest possible quality standards throughout all phases of the project, right up to fruition.
- Lead Quality activities from intro to completion (Launch) and drive right first-time approach.
- Highlighting and mitigating risks in NPD process that can lead directly to process/project delays and adding significant cost impact to the business, the final customer and to the image of the product/company.
- Work in synergy with project and technical managers to actively manage the risk and compliance.
- Ensure core teams evaluate all activity needed to develop the NPD process, and ensure the project complies/delivers against customer objectives.
- Work in synergy with Project managers to ensure the clear communication of real time project status, and ensure data driven decision making.
- To ensure robust processes and system are developed by the appropriate functions to manufacture world class products.
- Working closely with Plant Quality to ensure all internal PPAP activities are completed on time
- Working in synergy SQA, ensuring all new supplier onboarding is completed and ensuring all PPAP submissions are completed to agree plans.
- Quality Interface between cross-functional departments within the business.
- Prepare monthly summary of KPIs for the QPL process.
- Continuously support improvements to the NPD processes ensuring right first time and exceptional launches are achieved.
- Collaborate across Group QPLs to share best practise and reduce risks.
- Stimulate and drive the appropriate use Quality tools within the team members (e.g., PFMEA, DFMEA, CTQ, PPAP, Problem Solving)
- A credible and confident influencer with the ability to think laterally and logically.
- Working knowledge of core tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, R&R, Cpk, and control plan.
- Read and work with technical specifications (GD&T)
- Experience of completing launch readiness reviews, system development, and layered audits
- R&D Project management experience in a quality capacity
