An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Project Lead to manage and co-ordinate strategic initiatives through to successful completion, on behalf of Creative Innovation Zone (CIZ). The post holder will support the Project Lead and Head of Business Engagement to support and deliver projects that deliver student experience and income generation for the University through employer-led engagements.

This role will support all activities within The Creative Innovation Zone and facilitate relationships with business to improve employability and student achievement. This Creative Innovation Zone initiative engages with large regional employers who are invited to provide their business challenge to multi-disciplined cohorts of students. The students deliver to the client’s brief(s) and the engagement activity is supported by academics and project managed and quality assured by the CIZ team.

The Assistant Project Lead will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and can engage professionally with key stakeholders including, business organisations, academics and support staff and students. The role involves the management and processing of all project documentation, audit trails in the context of legislation and regulations relating to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Intellectual Property (IP) etc.

The role will support the CIZ senior managers in identifying income streams through grant capture and will involve some bid writing and case study capture. To identify, respond to, resolve, and troubleshoot issues on behalf of senior stakeholders, working within a framework of continuous improvement, undertaking business reviews and contributing to the development and implementation of efficient administrative processes including standard procedures and guidance notes to ensure consistency.
