Production Operative

**Atom Scientific** is a privately owned leading manufacturer and supplier of chemicals, reagents, equipment, and consumables with a speciality knowledge of special stains for Life Sciences.

The business core competence lies in the ability to blend, pack, and distribute multiple pack sizes to diverse B2B and B2C markets both in the UK and overseas.

Our Team and Business are going through a strong growth period and we are seeking to recruit another new team member that will be committed to delivering a high quality product to our customers.

**The Role**

Our production team are very busy packing products for our customers and need some new team members to help them cope with increasing demand

There are varied roles within our team:

- Packing Powders
- Decanting liquids into bottles (Low Volume)
- Decanting liquids in bottles & boxing (High Volume)
- Collating products into kits

Please note some of our products are hazardous, ppe may be required for different roles and full training will be given.

Our team are looking for more new team members to come in and work alongside them, reporting to the Production Leader, progressively learning each role over a period of time and making a positive contribution to the team

Will have a minimum of one 1 year experience of in a warehouse or production environments, have a great work ethic and good attention to detail, and be looking for the next step in their career path with a great team.

**No of Positions: 1-2**

**Hours of Work**

Mon - Thur 8am - 5pm,
Fri 8am - 4pm

**Interviews for this position will be held w/c 12th May 2025**

**Specific Duties**

To bottle, label and pack liquid or powder products in to bottles, jars, bags, buckets.

**Minimum Tech Requirements**:
**Accountabilities & Responsibilities**
- To work as part of a team or independently
- To meet company output requirements per hour
- To ensure proper product presentation at all times
- To complete paperwork accurately and neatly
- To maintain house keeping requirements
- To perform all duties in accordance with Health & Safety Procedures
- To maintain good time keeping

**Demonstrated experience/core competencies**
- 5 GCSEs (to include English & Maths)
- Good computer skills
- Good communications skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team

**Important Information**

Some of our products are hazardous and so full training will be provided.

Weights of up to 25Kg will be involved in this role on a regular basis

**Progression Matrix & Training**

We recruit on and operate a 5 level progression matrix, based on existing experience, backed up by regular on-going internal training.

Level 1 - £12.60/hr

Level 2 - £12.85/hr

Level 3 - £13.35/hr

Level 4 - £13.75/hr

Level 5 - £15.00/hr

Starting level will depend on experience and existing skills
