Process Operator

**Process Operator**:
Reporting to the Shift Manager, the individuals will be responsible for supporting the day to day operation of the RWTF operation and for ensuring that the facility is kept clean and tidy at all times. The Operators manage health and safety in their immediate area as well as take responsibility for housekeeping by cleaning the surrounding area, completing daily logs and reporting any defects to their Shift team Leader.
**_Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off - Days (06:00-18:00)_**
**Duties include but not limited to**:
- Assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the Residual Waste Treatment Facility by performing routine checks, monitoring equipment and cleaning.
- Take samples and complete basic quality checks.
- Complete training on Forklift Truck / Materials Handling Equipment if required
- Assist in the gathering and inputting of data, using visual management tools such as updating KPI boards and entering data into spreadsheets.
- Supporting the Shift Team Leader in completing their duties.
- Providing light maintenance of equipment.
- Work in accordance with SHEQ policies, including the reporting of safety concerns & incidents.
- Close working relationship with Operations Management Team.
- Comply with changes to company standards and legislation
- Identify or support continuous improvement projects
- Ensure the highest level of housekeeping is maintained
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Strong people skills; be able to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally
- Flexibility to work across all of the residual waste plant and other areas of the site as required
- A proactive approach to work
- Good organizational skills
**Desirable**:
- Experience of working in a waste management environment
- Experience of operating mobile plant vehicles, forklift truck etc
- Basic mechanical or fault finding skills
