Production Process Operative at our DEVON facility We are a leading manufacturer of Lightning Protection, Earthing and Surge Protection solutions, and our Wallis Power Development team in Devon is the UK’s only manufacturer of Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV). We design, manufacture and test surge protection and monitoring solutions. This role is based in DEVON in the South West UK. The salary meets the National Minimum Wage. The Production Process Operative will be hands‑on and practical, working in a busy manufacturing environment across several different product/production lines as required, providing day‑to‑day manufacturing support whilst ensuring that all products meet the company’s defined quality standard. Responsibilities Actively participate and provide support across all manufacturing processes Support the introduction of new products or processes into the organisation in a timely and cost‑effective manner Support structured problem‑solving projects linked to day‑to‑day manufacturing issues Actively promote a safe work environment and support the H&S officer Effectively maintain production schedules, reporting to the line manager Continually drive towards meeting or exceeding KPIs by finding ways to improve productivity, maintain quality, reduce process‑driven waste, scrap and rework, improve stock control and maintain excellent records Support existing and implement new continuous improvement activities Support implementation of any changes to products or processes Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support manufacturing processes Ensure that customer requirements are met Effectively communicate with production teams, senior management, suppliers and other stakeholders Compliance with environmental, health & safety, legislation and company policies and standards Candidate Requirements Dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail are essential Hardworking, reliable and committed with exemplary work ethic Capable of maintaining focus and efficiency with repetitive work for long periods of time Preferably assembly line, soldering, machining, toolmaking experience Excellent organisational and time‑management skills Excellent communication skills, teamwork and a can‑do attitude Committed to meeting the company’s mission, aims and objectives To apply, please email your CV to hr@an-wallis.com. #J-18808-Ljbffr
