**We have roles in our Thermal Processing Area.**

**Overall Purpose**:
To operate CNC Machines (Laser) in line with workload requirements, ensuring that all parts are machined to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Use of fine paint brushes, scalpels, and other hand tools to prepare parts for brazing and aluminising
- Fitting of tubes and plates to castings including the use of a poke weld machine to prepare parts for brazing
- Operation of cleaning line and grit blaster to prepare parts for processing
- Loading and unloading of retorts to and from furnaces in accordance with cycle times
- Inspection of work to ensure compliance with strict quality standards
- Completion of all necessary paperwork (i.e batch cards)
- Understanding of basic Engineering drawings and method specifications.
- Adherence to all company policy’s and procedures, including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety.

**Experience / Qualifications**:

- Experience of working in a fast paced Manufacturing / Engineering environment
- Experience of using hand tools
- Ability to understand method specifications and basic engineering drawings
- Experience of working within a thermal processing environment is desirable, but not essential

**Holidays**:
26 days floating + 7 statutory days

This holiday entitlement increases after 10 years to 27 days

**Overtime**:
Overtime available and paid in line with agreed rates

**Hours of work**:
37 per week

37-hour contract - 2 shift pattern (shifts may change in line with demand and three shift working may be required)

**Shift pattern**:
2 shift (AM and PM shift)

Monday - Thursday 05.45am - 13.45pm Friday 05.45am - 10.45pm

Monday - Thursday 13.45pm - 21.45pm Friday 10.45am - 15.45pm

**Hourly rate**:
£13.03 per hour basic and 19% shift premium

Total hourly rate £15.50
