- What will this role achieve?

The purpose of the role is to produce biscuits to correct quality and specification laid down, ensure factory everyday standards are always maintained safely.Carry out all pre-start checks-
- Ensure product is made to the correct quality and specification for start of shift and throughout-
- Understand equipment and machinery set up-
- Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure-
- Ensure any re-work procedures are followed-
- Ensure product is to correct quality and specification, make adjusts to machinery settings to maintain product consistency-
- Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard-
- Always maintain everyday factory standards safely-
- Carry out metal detection checks as per procedure-
- Carry out magnet checks as per procedure-
- Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda-
- Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required-
- Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance-
- Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issuesWhat do you need for this role?

EssentialExperience of working in a Manufacturing environment-
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written-
- IT/PC Competent- Good numerical skills- Be able to work with the minimum of supervision-
- Be diligent and detail conscious- Communicate effectively with work colleagues- Deliver an effective and efficient service to the department- Be flexible in their approach to work- Appropriate secondary education qualifications-
- Good numeracy and literacy knowledge- Manual handling
