Manufacturing Production manages or assists with various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including:

•Planning, directing, monitoring and/or operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards

•Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis

•Identifying need, Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line or machine maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions

•May liase with other departments as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resourcesAn entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience.

• Work is routine or follows standard procedures.

• Work is closely supervised.

• Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the shift lead or process owner, the operator will be responsible for the operation of one, or more of the processes used in the production of wound care intermediates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raw material handling and preparation.
• Operation of process equipment.
• Coaching and mentoring new operators in how to operate equipment and complete processes.
• Completion of batch documentation in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
• Performance monitoring and basic fault finding of processes.
• Compliance with Operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Cleaning and general maintenance of work area and maintaining 5S standards.
• Compliance with company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
• Completed batch handling and packaging.
• Fully engaged in on-going continuous improvement activities.
• Identifying and raising hazards.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Basic understanding of PC programs i.e. Microsoft Office.

Qualifications/Education:

• Basic skills (English and Mathematics)
• Demonstrates understanding and application of company procedures, EHS and GMP requirements.
• Demonstrates competency, flexibility, and consistency in the core Rhymney production processes.
