**The Role**:
The People and Payroll Administrator is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and efficient HR and Payroll Administration. This role supports the employee lifecycle and is a pivotal part of our People Operations. The role is a FTC running till end of January.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Carry out new starter document verification and follow-up.
- Process Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks for new starters.
- Complete reference checks for new starters.
- Prepare reference letters for existing employees and respond to reference enquiries.
- Support with TUPE employee set-up and onboarding processes.
- Update and process variation requests for current employees.
- Entering employees onto our internal admin system.
- Process monthly payroll changes, including new starters and leavers.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of payroll records.
- Process monthly expenses for our Group companies.
- Maintain accurate expense records and ensure compliance with policy.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Provide administrative support to the People team as required.
**Essential Requirements**:
- Experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll administration.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to work well with colleagues at all levels.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to work part time but still make a real difference by ensuring colleagues are supported, processes run smoothly, and compliance is maintained.
The position is 20 hours a week Monday
- Friday (Timing's can be flexible but needs to do 4 hours per day due to operational needs)
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: £12.21 per hour
