An exciting job opportunity is available to join as a Moves Co-ordinator in the Workspace Team, In House Services and Estates.
We are looking for a new Moves Co-ordinator who is personable, confident, and passionate about workspace planning and moves co-ordination. **Job description**:
The post-holder will be required to deliver business as usual workspace planning, office moves requests and asset management tasks within Planon, Parliaments’ Workplace Management System.
You will be responsible for interoperating the brief, providing workspace designs in Auto CAD, furniture specification, allocation and moves management services to a high level of customer service, across the Parliamentary Estate.
This post does not have line management responsibility. The post-holder will be responsible for co-ordinating external contractors and internal staff for the delivery and implementation of business-as-usual office moves, workspace design requests and the delivery, installation and movement of furniture and people to budget and time constraints.
**Responsibilities**:
Experience in the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) Auto Cad software in space planning office layouts to fulfil the brief and produce technical CAD drawings and the use of MS Office is essential for this role
An understanding of the Building Regulations Part M Vol.2 buildings other than dwellings, access to and use of buildings, Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Display Screen Equipment (DSE), Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and NICEIC guidelines when designing office layouts and liaising with the trades to deliver new layouts as appropriate
An ability to co-ordinate moves management processes including decanting and recanting offices to demanding deadlines through careful planning, with flexibility to adapt plans to respond to reactive demands through the identification and organisation of resources needed to accomplish the task
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to managing the needs of the client, managing expectations, ensuring the customer understands the scope of the service being provided and their own responsibilities. Stay in contact with the client to meet their requirements and keep them up to date about the removal process
An ability to work successfully within a team build and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships with a wide variety and levels of stakeholders, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion
An ability to identify and engage with stakeholders (e.g. Members, Staff, Consultants and Contractors) in order to influence outcomes and guide others through their personal credibility and the preparation of facts and data
