Theatre Finance Manager

The client are an arts and entertainment business that run theatre shows across the UK. They are growing very quickly and they are looking for a Theatre Finance Manager to join the team(based in the West End - Piccadilly Circus) on a permanent basis.

**Description**
The successful Theatre Finance Manager will:
- Book-keeping
- Working with the General Manager on all show settlements with the theatres
- Processing of purchase ledger runs for all invoices relating to the show
- Reconciliation of any petty cash accounts relating to the shows
- VAT accounting and submission of VAT returns
- Consultancy work on the budgets for the show
- Preparation of detailed Pre-Production and running reports for the producers & royalty-holders
- Preparation of financial statements for royalty holders
- Preparation of year-end figures
- Bookkeeping and reconciliation of the company's bank account
- Liaise with external advisers to ensure that our obligations are met with regard to VAT, payroll taxation, employment status

**Profile**
The successful Theatre Finance Manager will:
- Previous financial management experience from an arts/theatre organisation (events industry is also desirable)
- Have a relevant finance qualification
- Experience of forecasting, budgeting and financial planning
- A working knowledge of taxation issues (particularly Income Tax, National Insurance, VAT and Theatre Tax Relief)
- The ability to critically appraise financial systems, processes and controls, and identify and implement changes to strengthen the control environment and increase the efficiency of the organisation
- Creative and innovative thinking and problem solving ability
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager
- Experience of using Quickbooks and Sage 50Cloud Payroll
- Experience of creating year end accounts
**Job Offer**
- £40,000 - £45,000 (Can be flexible)
