What we can offer you is an exciting opportunity to gain experience working in a Social Care Mental Health Team within our Adults' Health and Care department. You will be joining a supportive, friendly, caring service where you will be valuedand work as part of team. You will receive regular supervision, have the support of your Team Manager and colleagues and have plentiful opportunities to expand your skills and knowledge. Alongside this we prioritise regular and exclusive Continuous ProfessionalDevelopment opportunities; Hampshire County supports and facilitates all Qualified Social Workers within Mental Health to undertake their AMHP training.In this role you will support people who are experiencing difficulties with their Mental Health or substancemisuse, to gain greater independence to meet their assessed outcomes, in accordance with the Care Act 2014. You will have a sound understanding of the application of a strengths-based approach to practice, whilst being person centred, promoting safe and effectivesocial care services.You will have a passion for delivering positive outcomes in addition to an ability to recognise problems, identify solutions and negotiate situations. You will also need to have proficient IT and written skills. We work with a varietyof different professions to achieve a holistic approach to assisting clients with their wellbeing.As a qualified Social Worker/AMHP, registered with Social Work England, you will need strong interpersonal and organisational skills. You will need to travelindependently across the county to meet with individuals and carers to assess needs, formulate outcomes to provide meaningful choice and promote wellbeing. You must be able to work autonomously, prioritise your work and respond flexibly to competing demands.Anexcellent working knowledge of legislation and current policies is required. Social Workers in the team are required to undertake various duties to include assessments under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, reviews of funded care and safeguardingwork. As there will be a need to travel, the successful candidates will need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
