**Job Purpose**
We are looking for an experienced C# developer to lead the design and development of our enterprise software solutions. You will be guiding and mentoring teams of different abilities, offering technical guidance, setting best practices, and ensuring that allsoftware developed is of high quality and a robust nature as well as getting hands on with the coding.
You must have a strong understanding of cloud technologies and microservices architecture.
Working with Project Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts and Testers the successful Lead Developer will share responsibility for project feasibility, requirements, design, development, quality, and delivery. You will need to work positivelyand effectively within teams of mixed abilities and experience and be adaptable within changing environments.
**What we're building**
We are looking for a Lead Developer to support the transformation and the future growth of the business, simplifying our IT architecture by removing our legacy systems and delivering new solutions, providing market-leading services for our colleagues, customers,and advisers.
**What you'll do**:

- Contribute to company standards and best practices
- Design loosely coupled enterprise solutions
- Coach team members in the best use of design patterns
- Build reusable, well-documented, extensible services using a TDD approach.
- Ensure non-functionals (performance, auditing, security, technical debt, support) are considered during development.
- Identify risks and mitigate them.
- Participate in technical design and review
- Design and build Prototypes/Proofs of Concept
- Facilitate automated testing, integration, and deployment (CI/CD)
- Lead problem analysis and help resolve technical problems
- Provide regular updates on progress to PM/PO and TL.
- Participate in mentoring, code reviews and pair programming
- Champion Agile practices: Sprint Planning, Regular Scrum, Show and Tell, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives. Estimate task complexity.
- Take part in continuous learning and professional development
**Desired Skills/Experience/Knowledge**

**Required Skills**:

- Domain Driven Design
- Experience in designing and developing Microservices
- Expert in Object Oriented (OO) Programing, SOLID Principles and Design Patterns
- Loosely Coupled Architecture
- REST, Git, CI/CD
- Expert practitioner of TDD, agile development
- Confident in presenting new idea's, willing to stand out from the crowd
- Good analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent time and self-management through effective planning & prioritisation of tasks
**Desirable Skills**:

- CosmosDB/SQL Server
- Azure Paas
- Azure functions, Azure features, Service Bus
- Kubernetes/Docker
