This permanent HR Officer job is an addition to the already established, fast paced HR team. This expansion is a strong indicator of the company’s success and progressive culture.

With over 1500 employees, the successful HR Officer will enjoy varied, generalist responsibilities and deliver a full range of HR activities to support the wider business; absence management, employee relations, recruitment and performance management etc

**The Role**
- Responsible for managing short term absence and performance management - managing short term absence - trigger based system
- Case Management of all long term absence - home visits, liaising with occupational health, return to work plans
- Support the team to reduce absenteeism
- Support the management of performance and target related disciplinary action
- Carry out disciplinary investigations, hearings, appeals and grievances
- Provide guidance to Managers on employment/legislative matters
- Handle return to work plans, flexible working requests and other HR related queries
- Manage recruitment exercises
- Update and manage the HR system, both manual and computerised records

**The Person**
- 3rd level education, Degree or equivalent, is desirable
- CIPD accreditation (Associate level or higher)
- 2-3 years + HR generalist experience within a fast paced, production orientated industry sector
- Experience of formulating, implementing and revising HR policies and procedures
- Experience of absence management
- Experience of handling disciplinary investigations, hearings, appeals and grievances
- Excellent knowledge and experience of current NI and UK employment legislation
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Driving license and access to own transport
