As part of continued growth, we now have a new opportunity for a People Partner within our Rail Division (Story England).

Based from either our Carlisle or Chorley Office (but covering both) in the North West region, this role will report the Head of People. You will be part of and work closely with all members of the senior management team (SMT) within the region and interact with our people across all areas of the business. The People Partner will give pragmatic HR advice, support the entire recruitment process, care about 'doing it right' and build strong relationships whilst working at pace.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Work closely with the regional team and HR colleagues to provide people-related support that aligns to the divisional strategy and business goals
- Develop and support people initiatives that enable successful delivery of company objectives
- Proactively support managers with the skills necessary to confidently deal with people issues
- Provide coaching and guidance to senior leaders on key people areas and employment law
- Work closely with the L & D function
- Ensure that we promote the business as an employer and that recruitment and assessment processes are carried out to ensure that we continue to attract the best talent
- Report on people metrics, highlighting any trends or issues and providing recommendations
