**About the role**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled **Research Fellow** to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on a project investigating the long-term impact of ultra-processed food consumption on weight gain among UK adults and children. This role will contribute to a series of studies using rich longitudinal data to explore how individual and dietary factors influence this relationship.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful research at the intersection of diet, health, and policy, with the potential to inform future public health strategies in the UK and beyond. You will be part of a supportive and experienced team committed to high-quality, policy-relevant research.
**What you would be doing**:
**What we are looking for**:
- A PhD in epidemiology, statistics, public health, nutrition, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience with longitudinal data analysis and strong statistical programming skills (e.g., Stata or R).
- A solid understanding of epidemiological methods, statistical analytical frameworks (e.g. time-to-event analysis, multilevel regression) and study design.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a track record of academic writing and presentations.
- The ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.

**Further information**:
The post holder will be situated in the Public Health Policy Evaluation Unit (Director, Professor Christopher Millett). Our mission is to produce high-quality research that will inform public health policy, improve health and wellbeing of populations and reduce health inequalities. PHPE is in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health (PCPH) (Head, Professor Azeem Majeed) within Imperial School of Public Health.
This is a full-time position with a fixed term contract for 24 months.
