We are seeking to appoint one motivated Clinical Research Fellow (CRF) to conduct a major research project on hip arthroplasty under the direction of Prof Justin Cobb at the MSk Lab, Department of Surgery & Cancer.

We seek a collaborative surgeon with experience and interest in hip arthroplasty, and a track record in research, to join our team for a fully funded PhD/MD degree. The CRF shall be responsible for investigating outcomes and operative strategies related to the growing burden of revision hip arthroplasty. The CRF will learn big data analytic techniques including machine learning, and collaborate within and outside Imperial College to develop novel video-based assessments, derived from human factors research in high risk industries.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
The post holder will be required to undertake a leading role in a major research project on hip arthroplasty. The research project will entail project design, experimental work in addition to data analysis and reporting the results in peer-reviewed journals. The research project is likely to include collaborations with other universities, hospital trusts, industry partners, registries, and membership bodies.

**Essential requirements**:
The post holder will need to have a degree in medicine at a ST3 level or equivalent experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics. They will need full GMC registration and MRCS or equivalent. They will need to demonstrate an interest in research and have excellent communication and writing skills in order to present the research work.

**Further information**:
This is a full time and fixed term role for 3 years. You will be based at the White City Campus.
