We are looking for an enthusiastic New Product Purchasing Student to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Corporate Segment in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

- Key New Product Introduction work in support of departmental objectives.
- Detailed involvement in Functional Excellence - opportunity to work with other Business Units to help share common processes, tools, and resources to better achieve business goals.
- Working with a group of suppliers - assisting with purchase to pay process, cost reduction, capacity planning, delivery/quality performance, risk mitigation.
- Data analysis in assistance with low-cost country sourcing/cost reduction opportunities.
- Engagement across several teams, gaining commodity experience.
- Close integration with Supplier Quality.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

- Positive attitude, strong personal motivation; being proactive in a dynamic working environment.
- Communication skills and being able to work well in a team. Teamwork skills.
- IT Skills/program knowledge.
