We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Design & Validation student to join our team specializing in Engineering for our On-Highway Engineering Services in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and **power your potential**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

- Has clear thought processes and can show a logical approach to tasks, challenges, hobbies etc
- PC literacy - knowledge of MS Office and be experience in 3D modelling software such as Catia, Creo, Solidworks etc
- Has experience in, and can demonstrate, relevant examples of Cummins core values e.g. voluntary work, community involvement activities, working with disadvantaged groups, charity related support, delivering extraordinary results, teamwork, competencies and outside education experiences

**QUALIFICATIONS**

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

- Verify designs using analysis and/or functional testing, interpret results, drive decisions and assess risk
- Support the investigations into New Products Introduction and Current Product support
- Collaborate with other functions such as Operations, Sourcing and Marketing, to ensure stakeholders requirements are met throughout the design and development process
- Validation tasks will also include record keeping, analyzing test cell data, making test plans, drafting test reports
