HatHats Coffee is looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Catering Contracts and Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll oversee a dynamic and exciting food and drink offering at Discovery Park, working closely with our Head of Non-Traditional Revenue (NTR) to manage food concessions and catering services across the site. As the Catering Coordinator, you'll ensure that food services run smoothly, from daily operations to events, and work alongside a variety of local food vendors, including pop-ups and anchor tenants. You'll play a key part in bringing a diverse mix of culinary experiences to Discovery Park, creating a vibrant food culture that serves both tenants and visitors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Coordinate and Manage Catering Operations**: Work with the Head of NTR to plan and manage a diverse food and drink offering at Discovery Park, overseeing external catering providers, pop-ups, and onsite catering functions.
- **Event and Hospitality Coordination**: Manage catering for events and meeting room bookings, liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure all needs are met.
- **Vendor Relations**: Engage with local caterers and food brands, building strong working relationships to ensure quality and consistency.
- **Food Safety & Standards**: Ensure all catering vendors meet health and safety regulations, maintaining high cleanliness and food safety standards. Proficient in kitchen operations, ensuring all operators meet strict Environmental Health and other legislation.
- **Customer Service**: Be the go-to person for all catering-related inquiries, providing excellent support to both vendors and clients, handling issues and complaints in a professional manner.
- **Billing & Reporting**: Oversee billing, revenue splits, and sales reports, ensuring all financials are accurate and up to date.
- **Collaboration & Teamwork**: Work closely with internal and external teams, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for all stakeholders.
**Qualifications and experience**
- Previous experience in catering management or hospitality operations would be an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage several projects at once.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working with local vendors and catering partners is a plus but they are a friendly bunch.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 - 37.5 per week
